Sevim & Kaya’s Outdoor Wedding Ceremony with Darryl Rees

As a wedding celebrant in Dubai, I had the pleasure of joining Sevim and Kaya for their outdoor ceremony, surrounded by family, friends and plenty of flowers.

The garden setting had palm trees, white and blush floral arrangements, and a mirrored aisle. It was a beautiful place to get married. My role was to focus on Sevim and Kaya, guide them through each part of the ceremony and help them enjoy the moment.

Leading the Ceremony

There’s a lot to think about on your wedding day. During the ceremony, you should be able to enjoy what’s happening without worrying about what comes next.

As Sevim and Kaya’s Dubai wedding celebrant, I was there to guide the ceremony, speak to their guests and give them their cues along the way.

One of my favourite photographs shows them holding hands while I’m speaking beside them. Another captures Sevim smiling at Kaya, with the bridesmaids watching from the side. Those are the moments I enjoy being part of.

How I Work with Couples

When couples book me as their wedding celebrant UAE, we start with a conversation about their relationship and what they want from the ceremony.

Some want plenty of humour. Others prefer something quieter, or a mix of both. That conversation helps me write a personalised script using details that matter to them.

I also help plan the order of the ceremony, offer guidance on vows and the ring exchange, and coordinate the key moments with the wedding team. It means the couple know what to expect before they walk down the aisle.
